Hank Poore Foundation's 'Ale On Wheels' Fundraiser Set For Oct. 24

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Hank Poore Foundation will celebrate the fifth anniversary of its annual Ale On Wheels fundraiser on Friday, Oct. 24, from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Buddy Powell Pavilion on Northridge Road in Tuscaloosa.

The family-friendly event will feature live music from Southbound Revelers, The Locals, and Huntsville’s JUICE Band, performing on a stage provided by Eat My Beats.

Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs and enjoy local food trucks including Catch A Taste, The Corn King, Pastor’s, Sage & Honey Coffee and Moonshot Creamery.
Black Warrior Brewing will also debut a limited-edition Ale On Wheels Toffee Pecan Brown Ale, along with several of its popular brews.

Organizers say the event will include activities for children and several surprises in honor of the foundation’s fifth anniversary.
Tickets can be purchased through Zeffy via links on the foundation’s website or social media pages.
Founded by Alabama native Hank Poore, who has cerebral palsy, the Hank Poore Foundation works to expand adaptive recreation and athletic opportunities for Alabamians with disabilities.
Since its creation, the foundation has provided more than $300,000 in adaptive athletic and recreation equipment statewide.
“Having the right equipment isn’t just a luxury, it’s an essential,” one grant recipient said. “And thanks to this grant, I don’t have to worry about that.”
