HGTV Personality To Deliver Keynote At Stillman College Commencement
Stillman College on Wednesday announced it will hold its 2024 commencement ceremony on May 11 at Stillman's Tiger Stadium.

TUSCALOOSA, AL β Stillman College on Wednesday announced it will hold its 2024 commencement ceremony on May 11 at Stillmanβs Tiger Stadium.

The ceremony will begin at 9 a.m., with 120 graduates across 15 majors. Stillman College says 69% of this year's graduates will earn honors.

The commencement ceremony will also feature a keynote address from Egypt Sherrod β a renowned host and executive producer of HGTV's popular show "Married To Real Estate,β and CEO of the Indigo Road Family of Companies.
What's more, Stillman College also plans to present Sherrod with an honorary doctorate.

"It is an immense honor to receive an honorary doctorate from such a prestigious institution as Stillman College,β Sherrod said. βIts dedication to enriching the lives of its students, faculty, and staff, as well as its deep historical roots, marks this as one of the proudest and most memorable moments in my career.β
Stillman College will also present honorary degrees upon Jefferson County Commissioner Lashunda Roberts Scales β the first woman to hold the District 1 seat in the Jefferson County Commission β and Donald W. Comer, staff vice president for Decision Science and Analytics at FedEx and an advocate for Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
Comer currently serves as chairman of the Stillman College Board of Trustees.
The commencement ceremony will also honor the Golden Class β alumni from the class of 1974.
