Tuscaloosa Police Investigating Shooting Death At Downtown Hotel

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa Police Department says a man was found dead of a gunshot wound outside of a hotel in downtown Tuscaloosa Saturday night.

TPD spokeswoman Stephanie Taylor told Patch that officers were called to a parking lot behind the Embassy Suites Hotel at 9:11 p.m. Saturday evening.

The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit's assistant commander Captain Marty Sellars told local media that the multiagency unit has assumed the investigation and will provide more details when they become available.
