As with Indivisible West Alabama's demonstrations in the past, Saturday's event will be held outside of the Richard Shelby Federal Building & Courthouse from 10 a.m. until noon.
In addition to standing in solidarity with Free D.C., local organizers said the Tuscaloosa protest is part of a larger push to highlight concerns about federal overreach and to support D.C. residents.

The Associated Press also reported that the president said earlier this week he is seriously considering ordering federal authorities to mobilize to "combat crime" in other large Democrat-led cities like Chicago and Baltimore.
“D.C. is just the start," the event notice says. "Any and every community in this country can find themselves in the same situation."
Indivisible West Alabama encourages attendees to bring signs with messages such as “We Stand With D.C.,” “Stop the Trump Takeover,” and “Free D.C.”
Local organizers also stressed that the gathering will be peaceful in nature and participants are expected to de-escalate any potential confrontations.
Organizers also said the rally will take place on flat ground with no stairs or steps and the event meets ADA accessibility standards.
