Judges Announced For 54th Kentuck Festival Of The Arts
Kentuck Art Center on Thursday announced that Alison Amick and Timothy Weber will serve as judges for the 54th Kentuck Festival of the Arts

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Kentuck Art Center on Thursday announced that Alison Amick and Timothy Weber will serve as judges for the 54th Kentuck Festival of the Arts, which is scheduled for Oct. 11–12 at Snow Hinton Park.

Kentuck says judges will award a total of $12,200 to exhibiting artists, with Amick and Weber evaluating participating artists based on quality, originality, design, composition, technique and presentation.

“We are honored to welcome Alison Amick and Timothy Weber as judges for this year’s Festival,” Kentuck Art Center Executive Director Exa Skinner said. “Bringing in highly respected voices from the national arts community helps keep the Kentuck Festival fresh, competitive, and deeply meaningful for the exhibiting artists.”
Amick is chief curator and senior director of exhibitions and collections at Intuit Art Museum in Chicago, where she oversees a collection of more than 1,200 works and the Henry Darger Room Collection.

She previously spent more than a decade as curator at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art.
Weber is a clay artist and craftsman who has more than 50 years of experience as an artist, educator and arts administrator.
He has directed the Appalachian Center for Craft and served as director of visual art, craft and media at the Tennessee Arts Commission.
Weber's works are included in collections at the Tennessee State Museum, the Mobile Museum of Art, Louisiana State University and the Japanese Embassy to the United States.
