There are only a couple of weeks and a few days remaining in the drive, so the Junior League of Tuscaloosa is encouraging locals to participate and help raise awareness.
"With the Period Pantry, we hope to collect $2,500 in feminine hygiene products," Junior Leauge of Tuscaloosa Vice President of Community Crissy Harris. "A gift of $10 can supply one woman or girl with what she needs for a month. Meeting our goal would support roughly 250 women. We want the ladies of Tuscaloosa to know we see the need for this initiative and are here to help."

Community members can support the Period Pantry in several ways, including: purchasing products from a gift registry set up to send directly to TES; scanning a QR code to donate funds for product purchases; dropping off products at various collection bins located at partner organizations; and hosting a drive through their own organization.
"As a community organization, TES is excited to work with the Junior League of Tuscaloosa to support the women in our community," TES Executive Director Dr. Karen Thompson-Jackson said. "With the rising costs of personal care products, we want to ensure all women have access to these necessities without the burden of cost."
