TUSCALOOSA, AL β€” Crimson Tide cornerback Terrion Arnold was the third Alabama standout drafted Thursday night, with the Detroit Lions picking the defensive back with the No. 24 overall selection.

Under head coach Dan Campbell, the Lions finished 12-5 in 2023 and finished first in the NFC North.

Arnold is a native of Tallahassee, Florida, and was named a first-team All-American by the Associated Press during the 2023 campaign under head coach Nick Saban.

He tied the SEC lead with five interceptions and totaled 17 passes defended to also tie for the league lead. The redshirt sophomore also recorded 63 tackles to rank fifth on the team, along with adding 6.5 stops for a loss and one sack.

As a freshman, he played in 11 games in 2022 and Freshman All-American honors.

Other Alabama first-rounders were Tide offensive lineman JC Latham (7th) and edge rusher Dallas Turner (17th).
