Livingston Man Killed, Two Others Injured In Crash Near Fosters
ALEA says a Livingston man was killed and two others injured in a multi-vehicle crash early Thursday morning on Interstate 59 near Fosters.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency says a Livingston man was killed and two others injured in a multi-vehicle crash early Thursday morning on Interstate 59 near Fosters.

ALEA said Daryl W. Brown Sr., 63, was killed when the 2012 Hyundai Accent he was driving was struck by the 2023 Freightliner tractor-trailer driven by a man from Georgia.

Investigators found that Brown was using a seat belt at the time of the crash, but was ejected because of the collision and pronounced dead at the scene.
After striking the Hyundai, investigators said the tractor-trailer caught fire.

Before Freightliner reportedly struck the Hyundai, a 2011 Mazda 6S driven by a man from Tuscaloosa, struck and disabled the Hyundai before the Mazda left the roadway and overturned.
The driver of the Mazda and tractor-trailer were both transported to DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa for treatment.
The crash occurred approximately one mile south of Fosters and remains under investigation.
