"It was determined that the 911 call had been placed by one of the victims, not by Keaundre Lee Hawkins," he said. "Evidence was found during the investigation that showed that Keaundra Lee Hawkins was the shooter/suspect."
Kennedy went on to say that Hawkins was charged with one count of capital murder and is currently being held at the Tuscaloosa County Jail without bond.
He then explained that the capital murder charge stems from the fact that two or more people were murdered by the defendant during one act or pursuant to one scheme or course of conduct.
Kennedy identified the victims as Antionette Hawkins, 62, and Mcran James Montgomery, 63.
