Man Killed In Wednesday Night Shooting In Northport

NORTHPORT, AL — Investigators are on the scene of a fatal shooting that occurred Wednesday night in Northport.

Captain Marty Sellers of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit said just before 10 p.m. that Northport Police and investigators from the multi-agency task force responded to the initial call of a shooting in the 11400 block of Fairwood Avenue in Northport's Huntington Place subdivision.

Sellers told local media that a man was dead but declined to provide any additional details at this stage of the investigation.
