Mississippi Man Killed, Three Others Injured In Pickens County Crash
A man from Columbus, Mississippi, is dead and three others injured in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 82 in Pickens County Thursday

TUSCALOOSA, AL β A man from Columbus, Mississippi, is dead and three others injured in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 82 in Pickens County Thursday night.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) says the fatal collision occurred at approximately 8:45 p.m. when the 2017 Chrysler 300 driven by Otha D. Rockett, 78, was struck by the 2011 Toyota Tundra driven by a man from Reform.

Rockett was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the Toyota and a passenger, also from Reform, were both injured and transported to Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus.
A 71-year-old Columbus woman who was a passenger in the Chrysler was also injured and airlifted to North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Mississippi, for treatment.

The crash occurred roughly five miles west of Reform and remains under investigation.
