Multi-Vehicle Crash Temporarily Closes Southbound Lanes Of I-59

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) says a multi-vehicle crash involving an overturned commercial vehicle has resulted in the temporary closure of the southbound lanes of Interstate 59 near the 71 mile marker in Tuscaloosa County.

ALEA told local media just after 7 p.m. Tuesday that the crash occurred at approximately 5:24 p.m. and the southbound lane will be blocked and closed for an undetermined amount of time. Traffic is being diverted at Exit 71B.
