The hosts describe the podcast as being a show that's "not about what happened at practice, or who’s in the transfer portal, or who’s going to start at strong safety, or how recruiting is going. We’ll take topics and stories from yesteryear and talk to those who have first-hand accounts of great plays, games, seasons, and topics from our storied athletics history."

The inaugural episode published Tuesday features former Tide gridiron standout Marlin “Scooter” Dyess and longtime Crimson Tide football manager and athletics administrator Gary White. This episode takes an in-depth look at the transition from Ears Whitworth to Paul “Bear” Bryant in 1957-58.

The second episode, which will focus on the transition from Bryant to Ray Perkins will be published on Tuesday, Aug. 6, featuring former Tide players Paul Ott Carruth and Randy Edwards.

Carruth and Edwards will share their memories of playing for Bryant and going through his retirement, his passing, his funeral, and being there for the beginning of the Ray Perkins era.

While football is the primary topic of conversation heading into the start of the Kalen DeBoer era, the hosts of the podcast say it will also focus on historic moments in Crimson Tide basketball, baseball, golf and more.

The Crimson Chronicles Podcast is also available on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
