North River Christian Teacher Accused Of Sexual Relationship With Student

TUSCALOOSA, AL — A teacher at a private Christian school in Tuscaloosa is accused of having a sexual relationship with a female student.

Captain Jack Kennedy, commander of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, told local media that the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by the parents of a student at North River Christian Academy who reported that they had discovered that their juvenile daughter had been involved in a sexual relationship with a teacher.

Kennedy said after conducting interviews and recovering evidence, warrants were obtained for 35-year-old Sarah Huggins Logan.
He then said Logan was arrested Friday for one count of a school employee engaging in a sex act.

"The school has been cooperative in the investigation, and Logan is no longer an employee of the school," Kennedy said. "The investigation is ongoing, and more charges are expected."
