TUSCALOOSA, AL — A Northport woman is dead after her vehicle was struck by a recreational vehicle Wednesday morning on Joe Mallisham Parkway.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) says the fatal collision occurred at approximately 10:25 a.m. Wednesday when the 2010 Chrysler Town & Country driven by Jearldine R. Sanford, 83, was struck by a 2005 Fleetwood Bounder driven by a man from Georgia.

ALEA says Sanford was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
