Captain Marty Sellers of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit (VCU) told local media early Sunday morning that the Tuscaloosa Police Department and VCU investigators were on the scene of the shooting at Creekwood Village apartments on 40th Avenue.

Sellers said one male victim was shot multiple times and it currently being treated for life-threatening injuries.

Investigators did not elaborate on any possible suspects or motive for the shooting.
