Captain Marty Sellers told local media late Wednesday night that the Tuscaloosa Police Department and VCU investigators responded to the 3100 block of 2nd Avenue on the initial call of a shooting.

Sellers then said one male victim has died as a result of the shooting.

Sellers declined to provide any further details regarding the circumstances of the shooting or potential suspects.

This is the fourth shooting in less than a week in Tuscaloosa County and the second fatal shooting following the killing of a man in Holt over the weekend.
