One Dead, One Injured In Shooting At Brookhaven Apartments

Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit Captain Marty Sellers told local media just before 3 a.m. Tuesday morning that VCU investigators and officers with the Tuscaloosa Police Department responded to the shooting call at Brookhaven Apartments at 1310 James I. Harrison Jr. Parkway.

Once on scene, officers found two males had been shot. Sellers said one of the individuals has died from their injuries.
The extent of injuries remains unclear for the other person who was shot.

This is the second potential murder investigated in Tuscaloosa this week, which follows a homicide investigation at the Tuscaloosa Alcoholics Anonymous clubhouse prompted after the body of a 62-year-old man was found under suspicious circumstances Tuesday morning.
