NORTHPORT, AL — One person suffered minor injuries in a Tuesday morning house fire in northern Tuscaloosa County.

Tuscaloosa Fire Rescue Public Information Officer Holly Whigham told Patch that TFR was requested by Carroll's Creek Volunteer Fire District shortly after 6:30 a.m. on a call of a structure fire just off Highway 43 on Old Fayette Road.

Whigham said when crews arrived at the scene, they noticed heavy fire showing from the home and transported one person for minor injuries.
The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office.
