Captain Jack Kennedy, commander of the multi-agency unit, told local media that Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's deputies were called out to the scene around 1 a.m.

Deputies found four people had been shot during an altercation at a private residence.

Kennedy said one male victim did not survive his injuries, while the other three victims suffered injuries not believed to be life-threatening.

No word has been given as to the identity of the people killed or any potential suspects.

This is the second shooting investigated by the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit in as many days, following a juvenile being shot in the chest during a fight at Rosedale Court apartments Saturday morning.
