'Pigskin Kickoff' Event To Feature Appearance By Crimson Tide, NFL Legend John Hannah
The University Church of Christ is set to host its annual Pigskin Kickoff event on Monday, Aug. 26.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The University Church of Christ is set to host its annual Pigskin Kickoff event on Monday, Aug. 26, featuring a special appearance by Crimson Tide and NFL legend John Hannah.

The event aims to celebrate college football and will take place at the church, which is located at 1200 Julia Tutwiler Drive.

Doors will open at 5:15 p.m., with the program beginning at 6 p.m.
In addition to Hannah’s appearance, the evening will see Ryan Fowler interview Alabama’s Athletic Relations Coordinator Cedric Burns and Tide basketball coach Nate Oats.

The Pigskin Kickoff will also feature a silent auction benefiting Tuscaloosa Angels — a charity supporting local foster children and families.
“We are delighted to host Pigskin Kickoff again this year,” Senior Minister Neil Reynolds said. “This event is not only a celebration of college football but also an opportunity to come together in order to demonstrate love and generosity to others through our support of Tuscaloosa Angels. Loving people in our city is central to our mission as a church.”
Tickets for Pigskin Kickoff are priced at $25, with reserved tables available for $350.

The church said early booking is recommended as seating is limited.
