TUSCALOOSA, AL — Resources, Education and Advocacy for Drug Free Youth (READY) will give away 300 backpacks and school supplies at its Back-to-School Bash on July 24.

The free community event will be held at the Tuscaloosa River Market from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. or until supplies are gone.

Live music will also be provided by DJ New Era.
Organizers says students must be present to receive supplies and resources. College students are also encouraged to attend.

Formerly known as P.R.I.D.E. of Tuscaloosa, READY works to provide effective drug prevention programming and strategies to the parents and youth in the west Alabama area.
