Registration Opens For River Pitch Competition

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Alabama Entrepreneurship Institute and The EDGE will host Global Entrepreneurship Week, Nov. 18-24, with two events designed to support local innovators.

The main event of the week will be the River Pitch Competition, set for Nov. 19, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Tuscaloosa River Market.

The free competition invites entrepreneurs and aspiring business owners from West Alabama to showcase their ideas and receive valuable feedback from industry professionals.
Organizers say participants will compete for one of over 10 prizes, each worth $1,000.

The event will not just offer financial incentives but also opportunities for participants to connect with potential mentors and collaborators who can help transform their ideas into viable businesses.
Interested participants must register by Nov. 4.

Organizers are also seeking judges and facilitators for the event.
The other big event for the week will be "Demo Day," which will provide local startups the chance to learn about companies based here in Tuscaloosa, while also allowing entrepreneurs an opportunity to showcase their businesses and hold workshops.
