Ryan Williams Named To Walter Camp Award Watch List

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Alabama sophomore wide receiver Ryan Williams on Monday was named to the 2025 Walter Camp Award Watch List by the Walter Camp Foundation.

Williams is one of 45 players nationally recognized in the preseason for the prestigious honor, which is awarded annually to college football’s top overall player.

The foundation says the list will be trimmed to 10 semifinalists in early November, with three finalists announced in December.
The winner will be honored Dec. 12 on ESPN’s College Football Awards Show.

Williams returns as one of the Crimson Tide’s most explosive offensive weapons after earning first-team All-Southeastern Conference honors and being named to the Freshman All-SEC team in 2024.
Williams led Alabama in receiving yards with 865 and eight receiving touchdowns last season, while finishing second on the team in receptions with 48.
Williams also contributed on the ground and special teams, rushing for 48 yards and two touchdowns on four carries. He added 120 punt return yards on 10 attempts and returned two kickoffs for 12 total yards.
Alabama's history with the Walter Camp Award includes DeVonta Smith (2020), Tua Tagovailoa (2018) and Derrick Henry (2015) each winning the honor.
