Salvation Army In Tuscaloosa Nets Winter Weather Grant

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Alabama Power on Wednesday announced $50,000 for five different organizations facing winter weather conditions, including the Salvation Army's Command in Tuscaloosa.

The donations are made possible through the utility's Alabama Business Charitable Trust, which seeks to help the many organizations faced with high demand in providing vital emergency assistance and resources to those in need.

Alabama Power also said as extreme cold temperatures are sure to persist in the coming days, there are a variety of resources and tips available for customers to make their homes more energy-efficient.
