School Closures For January 19 In Tuscaloosa County
No other TCSS schools are impacted by this closure, and students should report to school as normal at all other schools.

The following schools will be closed on Wednesday, January 19, 2022.
- Brookwood Elementary
- Cottondale Elementary
- Duncanville Middle
- Lloyd Wood Education Center
No other TCSS schools are impacted by this closure, and students should report to school as normal at all other schools.

The temporary closure at these schools is due to a high number of faculty absences and lack of
substitutes. While other schools are experiencing the same concerns, they are still able to operate at current staffing levels. These schools will reopen to students as soon as possible, when staffing returns to a level at which the schools can be operated. Families at these schools will be contacted Wednesday afternoon, with an update on plans for Thursday. Visit this page to read more about the staffing challenges our schools are currently facing.
