The City of Tuscaloosa says it has temporarily closed a section of Riverwalk after storms caused damage to one of the walking bridges.

TUSCALOOSA, AL β The City of Tuscaloosa says it has temporarily closed a section of Riverwalk after storms caused damage to one of the walking bridges.

Tree damage was reported across the area as storms moved through Wednesday, with the city sharing a photo of a tree that had fallen across the bridge, causing damage to its handrails.

The section of the Riverwalk that's closed is located between City Credit Union and Synovus Plaza.
The city said it will share updates on social media when this section of the Riverwalk is reopened.
