Shelton State Kicks Off 'Terrific Tuesday' Concert Series
SSCC says the series will once again feature a diverse lineup of musical acts, showcasing both local and visiting talent.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Shelton State Community College kicked off its 2024-2025 Terrific Tuesday Concert Series this week, with performances set to continue each Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Alabama Power Recital Hall on the Martin Campus.

- Sept. 10: Hannah Roberts, a pianist from the University of Alabama.
- Sept. 17: The Lopez-Tabor Duo, featuring violinist Alfonso Lopez and pianist Michelle Tabor.
- Sept. 24: A faculty recital.
- Oct. 1: Vocalist Shellie Beeman and pianist Wendy Freeman from Jacksonville State University.
- Oct. 8: Faculty Recital with Dr. Elijah Pugh on trumpet and Lillian Wesley on piano.
- Oct. 22: Student Musicale.
- Oct. 29: Dr. Skip Snead and The University of Alabama Horn Ensemble.
- Nov. 5: Mezzo-Soprano Addie Hughes in a student recital.
- Nov. 12: The Army’s 151st Band Jazz Combo.
- Nov. 19: The SSCC Jazz Combo, performing in the Martin Atrium.
- Nov. 26: Slade Trammell, a pianist from Roane State Community College.
- Dec. 3: The series will conclude with the Annual Holiday Tree Lighting in the Martin Atrium.
The Terrific Tuesday Concert Series aims to present a broad range of musical genres and talents, featuring both guest artists and Shelton State faculty and students.
