Shelton State Names Anika Lodree Dean Of Student Services

Shelton State Community College on Monday announced that Anika Lodree has been hired as the college's new dean of student services.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Shelton State Community College on Monday announced that Anika Lodree has been hired as the college's new dean of student services.

Her appointment was effective June 1 and comes after she was named the dean of the college's C.A. Fredd Campus in 2022. She served as director of student success at Shelton State prior to that.

As Patch previously reported, Lodree first began her work at Shelton State as an adjunct instructor of mathematics in 2011. In addition to her time in Tuscaloosa, she has also worked as an adjunct instructor at both the University of Alabama and Auburn University.

Lodree has been employed full-time by the college since 2014. She would eventually go on to become the Mathematics Lab Manager for the SOAR Institute at Shelton State from 2014 until 2019, when she was named director of student success.

She holds a bachelor's degree from Xavier University of Louisiana, a master's degree from Louisiana State University and a doctorate from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
