Shelton State To Offer ACT Prep Course Beginning Next Week
SSCC's Workforce Development program on Tuesday announced it will launch a six-week ACT preparation course beginning on Sept. 16.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Shelton State Community College's Workforce Development program on Tuesday announced it will launch a six-week ACT preparation course beginning on Sept. 16 at its Martin Campus.

SSCC says the course is designed to help students understand the structure of the standardized and develop effective strategies for approaching each section.

Organizers say participants will engage in practice tests and discussions to enhance their test-taking skills, with the course aiming to improve students' ability to think critically and apply concepts during the exam.
“The ACT is often seen as a measure of high school knowledge, but it really tests effective thinking skills,” ACT Prep Instructor Nathan Kenny said. “While some knowledge is necessary, mastering the test involves honing your thinking abilities.”

The cost of the course is $250 per student.
