The Arts Council says "ARARAT" draws on the history and resilience of the Armenian people after a genocide that claimed 1.5 million lives and blends contemporary movement with themes of cultural identity, history and renewal.

Staib, known for his company’s physicality and evocative storytelling, created the piece from survivor stories and explorations of new beginnings.

"ARARAT" is supported in part by the National Endowment for the Arts and the Tri-M Foundation.

The performance will be followed by a Q&A session with Staib and the cast, which will offer audiences a closer look at the work’s creative process and themes.

Tickets for both the performance and the masterclass are available here.
