Students At Certain TCSS Schools Eligible For Free Breakfast, Lunch

This is made possible by a federal program that provides no-charge meals to students in schools that meet certain economic requirements

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa County School System (TCSS) says that all students attending certain schools during the 2024-25 school year are eligible to receive school breakfast and lunch each school day at no charge to families.

TCSS said this is made possible through the Community Eligibility Provision — a federal program that provides no-charge meals to students in schools that meet certain economic requirements.

While students at these schools will receive meals at no charge, this will not apply to faculty, staff, or visitors.

Parents of students who attend a TCSS school that is not listed can complete the Meal Benefits Application, which allows eligible students access to the reduced price for breakfast ($0.30) and the reduced price for lunch ($0.40.)

Students attending the following schools will automatically receive school breakfast and lunch at no charge during the upcoming school year.
