Suspect Charged With Attempted Murder For Tuscaloosa Apartment Shooting

TUSCALOOSA, AL — An arrest has been announced following a shooting at a Tuscaloosa apartment complex earlier this month that left a man hospitalized.

As Patch previously reported, TPD officers responded to the initial call around 12:30 p.m. on Jan. 4 at Creekwood Village Apartments, which is located at 1750 40th Avenue.

Police arrived to find a male victim who had been shot and was seriously injured before being transported to DCH Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Captain Jack Kennedy, commander of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, told local media that that the shooting victim is now stable.

What's more, Kennedy said the day following the shooting that Kevin Driver,n28, was located and and charged with one count of attempted murder in relation.

Kennedy then said the investigation is ongoing and asked anyone who witnessed the shooting or who may have any information to call the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit at (205) 464-8690.
