Synovus Bank Becomes Adopt-A-School Partner For Tuscaloosa County High School

Synovus Bank has adopted Tuscaloosa County High School through The Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama's Adopt-A-School program.

NORTHPORT, AL — Synovus Bank has adopted Tuscaloosa County High School through The Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama’s Adopt-A-School program, marking the bank’s second partnership with a local school.

The bank already partners with Verner Elementary and will now extend its support to TCHS, where it plans to provide volunteers for financial literacy sessions, incentives for strong attendance and achievement, assistance with school activities, and help organizing a major fundraiser.

“At Tuscaloosa County High School, we believe that strong schools build strong communities,” said Ginger Martz, an honors chemistry teacher at TCHS. “The Adopt-A-School partnership between Tuscaloosa County High School and Synovus Bank will be more than a collaboration—it will be an investment in our students’ future.”

Martz added that education forms the foundation for a thriving community and emphasized that the partnership aims to equip students with essential financial literacy skills.

The Adopt-A-School program connects businesses and organizations with area schools to strengthen education through community support.

TCHS also receives Adopt-A-School support from Remmert & Company and Shelton State Community College.
