TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa Career & Technology Academy (TCTA) is gearing up to host its MEGAWOW! event Thursday that aims to offer an interactive open house experience for families and community members.

MEGAWOW! will begin at 5:30 p.m. and will provide a range of engaging activities, including hands-on exercises related to various careers, interactions with business and industry partners to learn about career pathways from TCTA and sample food prepared by the academy's Culinary Arts students.

The event will also feature information on how an upcoming referendum will impact TCTA, with leaders providing updates on potential changes and benefits.

Tuscaloosa City Schools says the open house is especially beneficial for current middle school students and their families, as it provides a chance to explore the class options available at TCTA for high school.
