Theatre Tuscaloosa Announces 28th Annual 'T. Earles' Award Winners
Theatre Tuscaloosa recently honored its top performers, technicians and volunteers at the 28th Annual T. Earle Johnson Awards Ceremony.
TUSCALOOSA, AL — Theatre Tuscaloosa recently honored its top performers, technicians and volunteers at the 28th Annual T. Earle Johnson Awards Ceremony, which was held Sunday, Aug. 18, at Mugshots in downtown Tuscaloosa.

The event is known as "The T. Earles" and serves as the theater's equivalent of the Tony Awards.

Theatre Tuscaloosa says the T. Earle Johnson Awards recognize individuals across a range of categories for their dedication and talent. This year’s service and volunteer awards highlighted several key contributors:
- Cole Cabiness — The Paul K. Looney “Our Ox is in the Ditch” Award for his quick adaptation as Billy Crocker in "Anything Goes."
- Prathima Gilliam and Amanda Ingram — Newcomers of the Year for their roles in "Anything Goes" and their dedication to Theatre Tuscaloosa Academy.
- Averie Bonneville — The Jake Leigeber Volunteer of the Year Award for her exceptional service.
- Bryant Bank — Patron of the Year.
- Kelsey Rush — The Doug Perry Outstanding Service to the Theatre Award for her role in fundraising and logistical support.
- Molly Page — The Charlie Dennis “Bear It” Award for Technical Service for her support during "Anything Goes."

- Adam Miller — Outstanding Featured Performance in a Play for his role as Melvin Wilder in "The Diviners."
- Cooper Shattuck — Outstanding Featured Performance in a Musical for his roles in "Ragtime" and "Anything Goes."
- Louise Manos — Outstanding Supporting Performance in a Play for her portrayal of Norma Henshaw in "The Diviners."
- Sarah Kathryn Bonds Ethridge — Outstanding Supporting Performance in a Musical for her roles in "Some Enchanted Evening" and "Anything Goes."
- DeAnthony Mays — Outstanding Leading Performance in a Play for his role as C.C. Showers in "The Diviners."
- Cole Cabiness — Outstanding Leading Performance in a Musical for his role in "Anything Goes."
What's more, Theatre Tuscaloosa announced inductees into its All-Star Cast, which included Cole Cabiness, Brent Jones and Cooper Shattuck.
The honorees each received three prior T. Earle Awards, with All-Star Cast members honored with a medal and a plaque in the Bean-Brown Theatre lobby at Shelton State Community College.
All-Star Cast members also serve as mentors and ambassadors in the theater community.
