Tide Baseball To Play In 2026 Frisco College Baseball Classic

Alabama baseball will be one of four teams to compete in the 2026 Frisco College Baseball Classic in Texas.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Tournament organizers announced Tuesday that Alabama baseball will be one of four teams to compete in the 2026 Frisco College Baseball Classic.

The Crimson Tide will join Houston, Iowa and Oregon State in the round-robin event, which will be played Feb. 27 through March 1 at Riders Field — home of the Texas Rangers’ Double-A affiliate, the Frisco RoughRiders.

Alabama will open play Feb. 27 against Iowa at 6 p.m. in the first-ever meeting between the two programs.

The following day, the Tide will face Oregon State at 4 p.m. This comes after the Beavers went 48-16-1 last season and advanced to the 2025 College World Series.

The Tide will close the tournament March 1 against Houston at 3 p.m.

The two teams last met in 2016.

Tickets for the tournament will be sold on a day-by-day basis with both reserved and general admission options available.

All six games are scheduled to stream exclusively on D1Baseball.com.

2026 Frisco College Baseball Classic schedule (all central times):

  • Friday, Feb. 27: Houston vs. Oregon State, 2 p.m.; Alabama vs. Iowa, 6 p.m.
  • Saturday, Feb. 28: Iowa vs. Houston, 12 p.m.; Alabama vs. Oregon State, 4 p.m.
  • Sunday, March 1: Oregon State vs. Iowa, 11 a.m.; Houston vs. Alabama, 3 p.m.
