Tide Holds Lead Going Into Final Round Of Folds Of Honor Collegiate

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The No. 16 Alabama men's golf team holds a one-stroke lead over No. 9 Illinois after the second round of the Folds of Honor Collegiate going into the final round on Wednesday.

Dominic Clemons shot a 66 to lead Alabama with a two-day total of 7-under par 135 (69-66).

Clemons, now in the lead, holds a two-shot advantage over Michigan State's Ashton McCulloch, who is also at 5-under par.

Alabama's Jonathan Griz contributed with a round of 68, placing him in third overall with a 5-under par total of 137 (69-68).

The Crimson Tide finished Tuesday at 5-under par, a stroke ahead of Illinois.

Alabama's final round will begin on Wednesday at the American Dunes Golf Club — a par 72, 7,213-yard course.

The Crimson Tide will tee off the final round at a time to be determined.

Coverage of the third round will begin on the Golf Channel at 8:30 a.m. local time for the morning wave and 3:30 p.m. for the afternoon.

The Folds of Honor Collegiate supports the Folds of Honor Foundation, which provides educational scholarships to the families of military members who have been killed or disabled while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces.
