Tide's Dallas Turner Selected By Vikings With No. 17 Overall Pick

TUSCALOOSA, AL β Former Crimson Tide edge rusher Dallas Turner was selected with the No. 17 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft by the Minnesota Vikings Thursday night.

The Vikings finished third in the NFC North last season with a 7-1o record. Turner will begin his NFL career for head coach Kevin O'Connell.

Turner, a Fort Lauderdale, Florida native, was selected as one of the Crimson Tide's permanent team captains and was named a consensus first-team All-American.
Turner was also named SEC Defensive Player of the Year by the conference coaches and first-team All-SEC honors.

On the field during the 2023 campaign, Turner tied for the SEC lead and eighth nationally with 10 sacks, along with recording 53 total tackles β 14.5 for loss.
