Tide's Jam Miller Named To Doak Walker Award Watch List

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Crimson Tide senior running back Jam Miller has been named to the 2025 Doak Walker Award Watch List, becoming one of 88 running backs nationally recognized on the preseason list for the award honoring the nation’s top college halfback.

The selection committee will name 10 semifinalists in November, followed by three finalists later that month.

The winner of the Doak Walker Award will be announced Dec. 12 during The Home Depot College Football Awards.

A veteran in the Crimson Tide backfield, Miller led Alabama in rushing last season with 688 yards on 145 carries, averaging 4.7 yards per attempt and scoring seven touchdowns.

Miller also contributed 155 receiving yards and a touchdown on 16 catches.

He enters his senior season with 1,092 career rushing yards and 10 touchdowns on 219 carries.

Miller will seek to become the Crimson Tide's fourth Doak Walker Award winner, potentially joining Najee Harris (2020), Derrick Henry (2015) and Trent Richardson (2011).
