Tide's Jeff Allen To Headline Local UA Alumni Association Chapter Kick-Off Event

The Tuscaloosa County Chapter of The University of Alabama National Alumni Association is once again set to host its annual kick-off event.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa County Chapter of The University of Alabama National Alumni Association is once again set to host its annual fall Kick-off Event on Thursday, Aug. 15.

The event will be held on the terrace of the SkyGate Club of WestGate Luxury Condominiums. from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.

The University of Alabama's Associate Athletics Director of Sports Medicine Jeff Allen will be the keynote speaker.

“Our chapter is looking forward to once again bringing UA alumni and supporters together for this annual event,” Tuscaloosa County Chapter President Anna Claire Toxey said. “I have no doubt attendees will leave feeling energized and excited for the upcoming football season after hearing Jeff speak about his time working under both Coach Saban and our new head coach, Kalen DeBoer.”

Tickets for entrance and dinner are priced at $35, with tickets for children ages 4-10 priced at $15 and ages 3 and under free.

Attendees are not required to be alumni chapter members and a portion of proceeds from the will go toward the Tuscaloosa County Chapter Scholarship Fund, which awarded more than $150,000 in scholarships to students from high schools in Tuscaloosa County earlier this year.

A limited number of VIP tickets are also available for $55 for adults, $35 for children ages 4-10, and $15 for ages 3 and under. This will include a tour of Bryant-Denny Stadium before the event, with the tour starting at 4:15 p.m.

There will be a silent auction as well as featuring autographed sports memorabilia, along with other items from local restaurants and retailers.
