Tide's Nick Pringle Suspended Indefinitely For Internal Conduct

Senior forward Nick Pringle has been suspended indefinitely due to conduct detrimental to the team, coach Nate Oats said Friday.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Crimson Tide basketball coach Nate Oats on Friday informed the media that senior forward Nick Pringle has been suspended indefinitely due to conduct detrimental to the team.

Oats told reporters that the offense was "nothing serious," going on to say that "there's a standard we want our guys to uphold and he wasn't upholding it. I still love Nick. Hopefully, he can get himself figured out and be back with the team shortly."

Pringle transferred to Alabama last season after stops at Wofford and Dodge City Community College, going to average 3.5 points, 3.1 rebounds and 0.2 assists over 36 games.

Pringle has appeared in all seven games this season — starting in six — and was expected to play a crucial role for the Crimson Tide.

Over this time, he has averaged six points a game, with his best performance coming in a 14-point showing against Mercer on Nov. 17.

The Crimson Tide (5-2) will return to action Monday when Coleman Coliseum hosts Arkansas State.
