Investigators have released the identity of a Tuscaloosa man killed early Saturday morning in a single-vehicle crash.
TUSCALOOSA, AL β Investigators have released the identity of a Tuscaloosa man killed early Saturday morning in a single-vehicle crash on the northbound on-ramp of Interstate 359.

TPD spokeswoman Stephanie Taylor told local media Saturday evening that Jatavis Marquel Jones, 24, was pronounced dead at the scene.

As Patch previously reported, investigators believe Jones was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Tahoe and was traveling from Interstate 20/59 to I-359 when he lost control of the vehicle on the ramp.
The crash occurred at about 2:45 a.m. Saturday.

Taylor then said the SUV rolled over multiple times before coming to rest against the concrete barrier.
Taylor also said a 23-year-old female passenger from Tuscaloosa was transported to DCH Regional Medical Center with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
