Tuscaloosa Announces Temporary Closure Of Lake Nicol Road

Here's everything you need to know ahead of a temporary closure of Lake Nicol Road by the City of Tuscaloosa

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The City of Tuscaloosa on Tuesday announced it will temporarily close Lake Nicol Road on Wednesday, July 31 and Thursday, Aug. 1 for ongoing maintenance.

Message signs will be visible beginning Wednesday, July 24 to notify residents of the upcoming closure, with the westbound lane of Lake Nicol Road will be closed at the Lake Nicol Spillway for approximately two weeks beginning Friday, Aug. 2.
