Tuscaloosa Council President's Town Hall To Focus On University Boulevard East Improvements

The meeting is set for Dec. 1 at The Gateway on University Boulevard.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Tuscaloosa City Council President Kip Tyner announced Tuesday that he will host a District 5 town hall on Dec. 1 to discuss the University Boulevard East Improvement Plan and other ongoing projects.

The come and go meeting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at The Gateway, which is located at 2614 University Boulevard East.

The University Boulevard East Improvement Plan — an Elevate Tuscaloosa project — is currently in its design phase, with no current cost estimates or completion date.

The city says the project is expected to include utility and streetscape improvements to University Boulevard East between Arcadia Drive and Redmont Drive.

Amenities will also include new lighting, improved security, pedestrian paths and landscaping.
