Tuscaloosa County EMA, Compassion Coalition Seek Donations For Warming Stations
Tuscaloosa County EMA says the supplies are critical to helping local warming stations remain fully stocked as temperatures drop.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa County Emergency Management Agency is partnering with the Compassion Coalition to support local warming stations and is asking the community for donations of essential goods.

Officials said a donation trailer will be set up outside the Tuscaloosa County EMA headquarters from Tuesday, Dec. 16, through Thursday, Dec. 18, with drop-off hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.

The agency is located at 7400 Richard M. Pierce Parkway in Northport.

Requested items include disposable plates, bowls, cups, plasticware, paper towels and toilet paper.
All donated goods will go directly to the Compassion Coalition.
Residents who may need shelter are also encouraged to call (205) 349-0150 and should be prepared to provide their name, a callback number, their current location and the number of individuals seeking shelter.
