Tuscaloosa Fire Rescue Deploying Aid For Flood Response In Texas
TFR on Thursday announced it is preparing to deploy members of its Urban Search and Rescue Team to assist with the flood response efforts.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Tuscaloosa Fire Rescue on Thursday announced it is preparing to deploy members of its Urban Search and Rescue Team to assist with the flood response efforts in Texas.

TFR says the deployment comes at the request of the Alabama Emergency Management Agency, in coordination with Alabama Task Force One, following the catastrophic flooding across portions of Texas.

Urban Search and Rescue Team members will be used as a water asset with urban search and rescue capabilities, with the team currently mobilizing equipment and resources with plans to depart Thursday afternoon.

Tuscaloosa Fire Rescue said it is authorized for deployments of up to 14 days, though the duration may be adjusted based on operational needs.
