Tuscaloosa Fire Rescue Plans 9/11 Memorial Blood Drive

The blood drive will be held from Sept. 11 to 13, running each day from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Tuscaloosa Fire Administrative Office.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Tuscaloosa Fire Rescue (TFR) is partnering with local agencies to host a memorial blood drive to commemorate the 23rd anniversary of the deadly terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001.

The event — made possible through a collaboration with the Tuscaloosa Police Department, Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, Alabama Fire College and NorthStar Paramedics — will be conducted with LifeSouth Community Blood Centers.

Tuscaloosa Fire Rescue has set a goal of 110 donors, which represents the 110 stories of the World Trade Center towers and the firefighters who ascended to save others.

The blood drive will be held from Sept. 11 to 13, running each day from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Tuscaloosa Fire Administrative Office, which is located at 3200 Greensboro Avenue in Tuscaloosa.
