Tuscaloosa Investigators Seek Witnesses In Fatal Shooting Last June

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit is still working to track down witnesses in connection to a fatal shooting earlier this summer.

As Patch previously reported, the shooting occurred at approximately 9:49 p.m. on June 20 at 817 33rd Avenue, just off of Stillman Boulevard, resulting in the death of 34-year-old Christopher Labryant Shobe.

Captain Jack Kennedy, commander of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, said Shobe was found dead outside the residence with gunshot wounds.
"It was reported that the victim had been having issues with several people throughout the evening," Kennedy said. "It is very possible that this incident was witnessed by multiple people."

Kennedy then said anyone who saw the shooting or has information are asked to contact the Violent Crimes Unit at (205) 464-8690.
He also said a reward is available through Crimestoppers for information leading to an arrest.
