The Tuscaloosa Police Athletic League (PAL) is once again gearing up to host its annual backpack giveaway on Thursday, Aug. 1.
TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa Police Athletic League (PAL) is once again gearing up to host its annual backpack giveaway on Thursday, Aug. 1.

TPD says that due to a limited supply, parents will need to pick up a ticket voucher at the PAL Gym ahead of the giveaway. The giveaway will begin at 3 p.m. the day of the event.

Those wanting tickets can obtain them beginning on July 25.
Children must be with a parent or guardian to receive a ticket, with each child eligible for one ticket only.

TPD said children do not need to be present on the day of the giveaway, but adults must redeem a ticket to receive a backpack.
